Hello, It's nice to meet you

Welcome to my website and thank you for taking the time to read a little about me, the owner of Abigail's Home Nursery. I live in East Challow, Wantage with my husband Stefan, my son AJ and my cat Cairo. 

 

I began my childcare journey in 2023 whilst on maternity leave. When the time came to start thinking about going back to work I was looking into nursery's for my son and was surprised in the lack of local childcare. That's when the idea came to me to open my own! I have always loved children and feel so lucky that I get to do something I love.

Since then and with a lot of hard work I have become a fully registered early years practitioner and have built a thriving childminding business.

I have spent a lot of time making my home a cozy, inviting space full of fun. I have an indoor playroom filled with toys, arts and crafts and books. Its the perfect area to spend the day getting creative and letting our imaginations run wild. We also have an outbuilding we use as a sensory activity room. This is filled with softplay, an indoor climbing triangle, sensory mats and more. I am always finding ways to improve and change my setting to keep the children excited. We have a lovely garden filled with wonderful colorful flowers and garden toys like a climbing dome, slides, cars and bikes.

As a art and music lover I definitely incorporate these things into my everyday life, including the hours I childmind.

So if your children come home singing 80's top hits don't be surprised.​
