During the Easter school holiday we had a full house with our day care and also some of our holiday club children. The children love to help with meal times so I came up with some fun and simple lunches we could all get involved in.

One day we made Pitta Pizzas with all our favourite toppings.

This is such a tasty, fun and easy lunch option all ages can help with, below is a picture of one of my lovely Mindees aged 22 months.

Helping to make their own pitta pizzas was a great activity that helps encourage fine motor skills and gives the children a great feeling of accomplishing something.

Our recipe - Take a pitta bread and cover it with tomato puree and herbs, then add on toppings of your choice. Sprinkle on some cheese like mozzarella or cheddar and pop under the grill for 5 minutes. Slice and serve - Simple!
